Updated September 27, 2026. This guide teaches the current KittenSchedule account, checklist, household, and Premium workflows. Compare the customer's need with what is actually on their screen before recommending a purchase.
The useful result and the right audience
KittenSchedule turns a kitten's birthdate into a first-year care checklist. Owners can see age-based tasks, check off completed items, review history, and use kitten-specific milestone information. Premium adds multiple pets, household sharing, a device-local photo journal, and a printable care summary.
It fits new kitten owners who feel uncertain about which care milestones are coming next, couples coordinating the same kitten's checklist, and homes with several cats whose records need to stay separate. An affiliate's job is to help the owner get one accurate plan saved and understand its next item.
The current KittenSchedule interface is organized around a checklist. Do not demonstrate PupSchedule's separate daily meal, potty, walk, sleep, weight, or custom-reminder screens as if they were KittenSchedule features. Similar branding and prices do not make the two products identical.
This is general care organization. It is not veterinary advice, a diagnostic service, automatic animal monitoring, or a substitute for an individualized veterinarian's plan. Owners of an ill kitten or one needing urgent feeding or treatment instructions should contact their veterinarian. Do not use this product lesson to recommend medical intervals or treatment.
Questions to ask first
Ask how old the kitten is, whether the birthdate is known, what records arrived from the rescue or breeder, and what the owner keeps forgetting. Find out whether another person needs access, whether there is more than one kitten, and whether the owner uses a browser or an installed app.
Also ask what they mean by “tracking.” Someone seeking a simple upcoming-care checklist may be a strong fit. Someone seeking a detailed every-feeding log, medication dispensing, cloud photo backup, or a multi-client veterinary management system should not be sold a feature this app does not provide.
A useful recommendation sounds like: “Let's save Mochi's plan and compare its upcoming items with the paperwork you received. If you and your partner both need the same checklist, we can then look at household sharing.” The first result is valuable without a subscription.
Free and Premium
The current standard web Premium prices are $3.99 per month, $19.99 per year, and $29.99 lifetime. Free supports one kitten's schedule and completed-item history. Premium provides multiple pets, household sharing, the photo journal, and vet PDF export. The lifetime option is a one-time purchase; monthly and annual subscriptions renew according to the checkout terms unless canceled.
Free is a legitimate recommendation for one owner who only needs the checklist. Premium becomes relevant when several kittens need separate plans, more than one caregiver needs shared records, or the owner wants the journal or formatted export. Do not tell every new owner that payment is required to use the app.
A photo in the journal is saved on the current device. “Household sync” does not promise that those pictures will appear on another phone or survive uninstalling. Account-linked schedules and completion history are separate from local journal storage.
Web checkout and Apple or Google purchase flows are different billing channels. Prices and currency may differ by store or region; use the actual purchase confirmation rather than promising a dollar amount from memory. Have customers confirm their own purchases and keep their passwords private.
Lesson 1 — Create the account and kitten profile
Start with your current KittenSchedule link copied from the Residual Apps dashboard. A new user creates the free account before saving and using the kitten plan. Returning users sign in to the existing account. Use password recovery when needed instead of creating extra accounts just to get past a login problem.
The kitten form asks for a name, birthdate, and optional Breed / coat. The age determines the generated dates, so read it back with the owner before continuing. If the birthday is an estimate, treat the timeline as an estimate and review timing with the veterinarian. Do not mark old tasks done just because they were probably handled elsewhere.
When setup finishes, verify the active kitten's name. The pet selector switches between profiles; adding another pet requires the appropriate Premium access. Each kitten needs its own profile so one animal's completed care is not mistakenly recorded for another.
The main navigation is Today, Timeline, Kitten, History, Photos, and Settings. The Kitten tab is the kitten milestone area. It is not a second pet account or a separate product. Walk through these tabs once so the owner knows where to return tomorrow.
Lesson 2 — Use Today without creating false records
Today shows due checklist items for the selected kitten, including items the generated plan considers overdue. Read the title, date, and explanatory notes. An overdue badge is based on the app's age schedule and entered records; it is not proof that a medical action has been missed.
Items dated before the kitten joined the account can appear under Before you brought [name] home. Expand that section and compare it with rescue, breeder, or veterinary paperwork. Leave uncertainty unresolved until the owner can confirm what happened. A clean-looking screen is not a reason to invent completed care.
Use the checkbox when the item was actually completed. The app records that completion and its timestamp in History. Checking an item does not order supplies, book an appointment, contact a vet, or physically perform care.
When Today says nothing is due, open Timeline to look ahead. This means the app has no current scheduled items for that plan, not that the kitten has no needs. Daily care and attention still depend on the owner and their professional guidance.
Lesson 3 — Understand and correct the Timeline
Timeline shows the full generated schedule grouped by age week. Each row has a title, status, due date, and, where applicable, a window or explanatory note. Scan the next few weeks with the owner and choose one item they want to ask their veterinarian about.
The checkboxes in Timeline reflect completion. To correct an accidental completion, return to that exact item and toggle it back. Be sure the active kitten and row match the intended correction. Do not compensate for an incorrect checkbox by checking some other item.
The Kitten milestones tab provides developmental context such as weaning, litter-box habits, and scratching-post learning. These are educational prompts, not a promise that all kittens reach the same milestone on the same date. Do not claim that using a checklist guarantees training or prevents disease.
If an owner is using an older installed version, the wording may vary. Update through the official store before concluding that the account is broken. Never instruct them to clear application data until local pictures and any unsynced records have been protected.
Lesson 4 — Read History and export accurately
History lists completed checklist items, with the most recently logged first. A timestamp describes the stored completion entry. Do not present it as independent veterinary verification or a detailed medical chart.
With Premium and recorded items, choose Export in the Vet PDF export area. The PDF is a printable summary of schedule, status, and log history. Open the resulting file and check the kitten's name and entries before sharing it. An export control may be unavailable when there is nothing logged.
Share only with the owner's permission. The exported summary can start a useful conversation with a veterinarian, but it is not a vaccination certificate, prescription, or proof that an appointment took place. If the export fails on a device, record the exact error and ask support rather than claiming a file was sent.
A practical handoff is: “Here is what we have checked off and what the age-based plan shows next. Can you confirm the timing and anything that should differ for this kitten?” Keep clinical decisions with the professional who knows the animal.
Lesson 5 — Photos and household sharing
Premium Photos opens the journal for the selected pet. Choose Add photo, select an appropriate image, and wait until it appears in the journal. Add caption or Edit caption provides context. Delete asks for confirmation before removing the journal entry.
Use an image the owner has permission to store. Preserve the original outside the app when it matters. The journal is device-local; signing into the same account elsewhere should not be presented as a photo recovery method. Account sync and a visible photo preview are not evidence of cloud image backup.
In Settings, open Household sync. A Premium household can create an invitation. The other caregiver uses their own account, enters the supplied code, and selects Join household. Verify that both people see the intended pet and checklist after syncing.
A household code grants access to household data; your Residual Apps share link is for referral attribution. Keep those separate. If someone already belongs to another shared household, contact support before attempting a move. Do not recommend deletion as a shortcut through a household membership problem.
Lesson 6 — Notifications, access, and billing
The installed app can request notification permission for supported reminders. Review the setting in the app and the operating system if alerts are absent. Web use does not imply phone notifications. Do not promise an exact delivery time, or that alerts replace checking the schedule.
When Premium is missing after purchase, confirm the correct KittenSchedule account, internet connection, and purchase channel. Web confirmation may need time to refresh. In the installed app, use Restore purchases with the original store identity and product login. An unresolved payment is a support issue, not a reason to purchase again.
Cancel web renewals using the web billing route and store renewals through the original Apple or Google subscription controls. Deleting an application or account is not the same as canceling store billing. A lifetime purchase does not have a recurring monthly subscription to cancel.
Use Send feedback in Settings to report a product issue and choose whether a response is welcome. Include the account email, kitten name, device, installed version, exact action, and error wording. Keep passwords and card details out of the report. Product billing help is also available at support@kittenschedule.com, as shown in the current purchase-help text. A referral-credit issue goes to support@residualapps.com, supported by the product name, purchase channel, and available dashboard evidence.
Five-minute demo with fictional data
Prepare a practice account and fictional “Demo Mochi.” Do not use a customer's real pet as a sandbox or click medical tasks to make the demo look complete.
- Ask which upcoming care item feels hardest to track.
- Show the free account and kitten setup, including how the birthday changes the plan.
- Open Today and explain the pre-arrival group without declaring its tasks completed.
- Open Timeline and demonstrate one clearly identified practice checkbox in the practice account.
- Find the resulting entry in History and show how to undo the practice completion in Timeline.
- Explain Photos and household sharing only if they address the person's stated need.
- Show the smallest suitable plan, then have them use your personal share link for their own setup.
A good close is, “Save your kitten's plan and review the next item against the records you already have.” Avoid making payment the only acceptable next step.
Examples you can adapt
Introduction: “When you brought your kitten home, did you get a clear list of what comes next? KittenSchedule builds an age-based checklist and keeps completed items together. I can show you a free one-kitten plan. I'm an affiliate and may earn a commission if you buy through my link.”
Invited follow-up: “Were you able to save the kitten profile and find the next item in Timeline? If two people need to use the same checklist, look at Household sync before choosing a plan.” These examples are training material; they have not been sent to anyone.
“My vet already gave me a schedule.” That schedule remains the authority for the kitten. Show whether the app makes the owner's recordkeeping easier; do not override the veterinarian to sell an app.
“Can I log every bottle or weigh-in?” The current KittenSchedule workflow is the age-based checklist and completion history. Do not promise PupSchedule's daily care screens.
“Why does the app say overdue?” Compare the birthday, selected kitten, and recorded completions. Earlier care might already have happened and needs confirmation.
“Will my pictures come back on a new phone?” The journal is saved on the device. Keep originals separately.
“I was charged but it still asks me to upgrade.” Check account and channel, refresh or restore, and escalate without repurchasing.
Referrals and readiness check
Copy the current KittenSchedule link or QR from your own Residual Apps product card. Test its destination and have a new customer start from it before registration. Preserve the link as supplied. A generic homepage, another partner's code, a household invite, or an unverified switch between browser and store can change attribution.
Published rewards are 41.7% monthly, 50% annual, and 40% lifetime on qualifying purchases, currently approximately $1.66, $9.99, and $12. These are gross program rewards; fees, refunds, qualification, and attribution affect actual earnings. An annual or lifetime purchase does not generate a monthly reward. A free signup or link click is not a paid conversion.
Before promoting, practice setup, Today, Timeline, a completion and correction, History, the household entry point, and the correct referral link. Explain which features need Premium and where the photo journal is stored.
Quiz: Can one kitten use the basic checklist free? Should unverified pre-arrival tasks be marked done? Is History an official vet record? Are photos shared through account sync? Does lifetime pay an affiliate every month? Answers: yes; no; no; no; no. If you cannot demonstrate those distinctions, review the relevant lesson before making a recommendation.
