1. What you are helping families do

RoutinePals turns a routine into visible steps a child can follow with a caregiver: getting dressed, brushing teeth, packing a bag, bedtime, or preparing for an outing. Steps can include pictures, spoken instructions, optional timers, and stars. First/Then shows the current and next step. The parent creates and adjusts the plan; the child follows the saved version.

A useful introduction: “RoutinePals lets you turn a repeated part of the day into picture steps, with optional timers and read-aloud instructions. You can try one routine together on your phone for free.”

Ask which repeated moment is difficult before recommending features. Families who prefer pictures may find the format useful. This is a family support tool, not a medical, therapeutic, or diagnostic service. Parent involvement depends on the child and activity.

2. Where it works

Use routinepals.com in a browser or follow its official links to the iPhone, iPad, and Android apps. A separate child tablet is optional. Start with the caregiver’s existing phone.

Use an internet connection for sign-in, saving, syncing, AI creation, and billing. Do not promise full offline operation. Check the app store for an update when an installed version lacks a described control.

3. Free versus Pro

Free access has no time limit and signup requires no payment card. Three routine slots means three total, not three templates plus three custom routines. The free routine picture is one account allowance across devices, not one each day or per routine. The separate illustrated story sample does not use that picture allowance. Partner/demo accounts may have more access than normal free families; explain the actual free limits during a demo.

Current advertised US Pro prices are $6.99/month or $49.99/year. Web monthly billing starts at $2.99 for the first month, then $6.99/month; annual billing is $49.99/year. Web checkout starts billing immediately with no free trial. Eligible iOS/Android accounts may see a 14-day trial. The actual store purchase sheet controls currency, price, trial eligibility, and renewal terms. Do not promise everyone a trial. Creating a free account alone does not start a subscription.

4. Set up the family and first routine

1. Open RoutinePals and choose account creation. Use the caregiver’s own email, complete the displayed signup steps, and keep that same account for other parent devices.
2. Add the child’s name, avatar, and four-digit Kid Mode PIN when prompted. Select the intended child before creating a routine.
3. Choose a template, such as morning or bedtime, or Build my own routine. Preview the template and choose one that fits. Start with a short sequence.
4. In the editor, name the routine and choose its icon/photo and type. Review every step. Rewrite instructions into familiar language. Add, remove, or reorder steps with the visible controls.
5. Add a photo or emoji to each step as useful. Record a spoken instruction if desired, allowing microphone access when prompted. Set step minutes and stars appropriately. A timer is optional.
6. Optionally set Start, Finish by, and the start-time alarm. Save and wait for confirmation. Finish uploads or image generation before expecting Save to become available.
7. Choose Try it now on this phone to run the saved routine together. This parent-led route needs no second device or child PIN.
8. After the run, return to the parent view and adjust confusing steps. Open Progress to check the saved completion and stars.

Practice example: “Ready to go” with “Put shoes on,” “Pick up bag,” and “Meet your grown-up.” This is a suggested demonstration, not a supplied template or a real customer’s result.

5. Child-device setup and daily use

1. In the parent routine screen, find the child’s Kid Mode instructions, family code, and PIN. Use Change PIN and Save PIN if needed.
2. On the child device, open Kid Mode login. Enter the family code, choose the child, and enter that child’s PIN. Use Remember this device only on a trusted device.
3. Choose a saved routine. Follow each step, listen to instructions, and use the optional timer or First/Then view. Tap the completion control when the real activity is finished.
4. Wait for the final completion screen. If saving fails, use the displayed retry rather than assuming stars or progress were recorded.
5. Explore How I feel, Waiting, and Star Store when appropriate.
6. Use Grown-up exit to leave the child side. An arithmetic grown-up gate discourages accidental switching. It is not a secure device lock or a replacement for operating-system parental controls.

Separate parent accounts create separate households. On a second caregiver device, use the same existing parent account; on a child device, use the existing family code and PIN. Do not create a duplicate household just to install the app on a tablet.

6. Demonstrate rewards from start to finish

Open the parent Reward store. Enter a reward title, icon, and star cost, then choose Add. Pick something the family can deliver, such as choosing the bedtime book. Free accounts can keep one active custom reward. A second requires Pro; deleting the old one allows a replacement.

Set routine step stars deliberately. After a completed routine, show the balance. Open Star Store in Kid Mode. A child with enough stars can tap Get to redeem a reward; the app deducts its cost and displays the reward message. An unaffordable reward cannot be selected.

The caregiver supplies the promised activity or item. Stars are not cash. RoutinePals does not ship gifts or automatically enforce screen-time limits. Do not promise a separate parent-approval step for each redemption: the demonstrated child flow redeems a parent-created reward directly.

7. Pictures, characters, and illustrated stories

For a routine picture, open the step’s AI picture control. Name or describe the step clearly, wait for generation, inspect the image, then save. A free account gets one successfully saved routine picture. Use saved free picture reuses it; another new AI picture requires Pro. Own-photo uploads remain available within free routines.

Use Characters to create people or characters to include. Free accounts can keep three. In the story builder, select the child, describe an upcoming experience, and choose the relevant characters. Generate the story, read and edit every page, prepare the cover/page pictures, and choose Save to Kid Mode. Saved stories appear with the child’s routines and read aloud in Kid Mode. The first illustrated sample is separate from the routine-picture allowance; ongoing new stories require Pro.

Caregivers create and review AI material before sharing it with children. Check names, instructions, images, and suitability. Never describe generated drafts as guaranteed accurate or expose private family details in a public demonstration.

8. Parent controls and progress

Sensory settings: Select the child, adjust the available palette, animations, sounds, and text size, then save. Choose a presentation that fits the family’s preferences.

Reminders: Save a start time and alarm settings, allow notifications when requested, and check device settings. Native background reminders prompt the user to open RoutinePals; they do not play a custom recording or song in the background. In a browser, the page must remain open for custom alarm audio and may require a tap before sound can play. Do not promise a guaranteed locked-screen wake-up alarm.

Progress: Show routines completed, stars earned, current streak, star balance, recent routines/feelings, and available insights. These are recorded app activities, not proof of independent real-world performance.

Ring: Pro can ring a child device set up through Kid Mode with notifications allowed. Offline or unregistered devices and missing permissions can prevent delivery. This is not GPS tracking.

Account: Settings includes password changes and permanent account deletion. Deletion removes family data; it is not a troubleshooting shortcut. Handle any paid subscription separately through its billing provider.

9. A five-minute sales demonstration

1. Ask: “Which repeated part of the day would you most like to make clearer?”
2. Show a short routine, change an instruction, and use a familiar photo or emoji. Explain that editing and own-photo uploads are free.
3. Choose Try it now on this phone, complete the steps, and show the completion screen.
4. Show progress and, if configured, the star balance and a family reward. Do not imply your demo account’s extra access belongs to every free account.
5. Explain the free limits and share your personal RoutinePals referral link so the parent can create their own account. Discuss Pro when their needs exceed the free plan.

Use your own practice family or an approved demo. Hide names, codes, PINs, emails, child photos, and billing details in shared screenshots. Never alter a customer’s account during a demonstration.

10. Referral links and honest selling

Sign in to the Residual Apps dashboard. Find RoutinePals and copy its current personal referral link or QR code. Use that app-specific link when you want attribution. Let the prospect create and control their own account.

The dashboard’s current program terms and commission details govern earnings. Do not infer commission from the subscription price, promise a fixed payout from an old email, or guarantee income. Clicks, free signups, and paid subscribers are different events. Check the card’s current reporting when available; a trial is not proof of earned recurring revenue.

Suggested message: “If the morning sequence is the hard part, RoutinePals lets you make it into picture steps and try it together on your phone. There’s a free account with one child and three editable routines. Here’s my referral link: [paste your RoutinePals link]. I may earn a commission if you subscribe through it.”

Use first-person results only if they happened to you. Never copy a fabricated testimonial or promise “no parent hovering,” guaranteed calm mornings, or clinical benefits.

11. Sales questions and objections

Does my child need to read? Pictures, recordings, and read-aloud can reduce reading needed. The caregiver should ensure every step is understandable and help as needed.

Do we need another tablet? No. Try a routine on the parent’s phone. A separate child device is optional.

Is free just a trial? No. Free allowances have no time limit. An optional store Pro trial is a separate purchase offer with renewal terms.

Must I pay to edit or upload my photos? No. The custom builder, editing the three free routines, and own-photo uploads are included.

Why did a paywall appear? They may be exceeding child/routine/character/reward limits, requesting additional AI pictures or stories, or choosing a Pro tool. Explain the specific limit and how to continue within free allowances.

Can it replace therapy or supervision? No. It organizes family routines. Caregivers decide suitability and supervision; it does not provide medical, therapeutic, or diagnostic services.

Is this TaskTroll? RoutinePals focuses on visual routines and child-friendly step-by-step use. Demonstrate this product’s own features and use its referral card. Do not assume another app’s paid plan or partner membership includes a RoutinePals family subscription.

Will it work for us? Suggest trying one short free routine and discussing how it goes. Do not guarantee results.

Can teachers recommend it? They can introduce interested families to the product. Do not promise classroom licensing, student-management tools, or school integrations not shown in the app.

How do I cancel? For App Store/Google Play purchases, use that store’s subscription management with the purchasing account. Web subscribers should use Plan & billing and available billing controls. Review the displayed end date. Removing the app does not cancel billing. Route refund questions to the appropriate provider/support; do not promise refunds.

12. Troubleshooting and support

Send unresolved product issues to RoutinePals support. Include the account email, device/OS, app version if available, time, exact error, and a redacted screenshot. Never request passwords, full payment-card details, or child PINs in email/public posts. Submit product suggestions through the Residual Apps forum.

13. Readiness check

Before selling, practice building/editing a routine, running it on the parent phone, explaining separate-device Kid Mode, viewing completion/progress, and demonstrating reward redemption. Be able to explain the free limits, picture/story allowances, web versus store billing, personal referral link, and support route.

Practice: A parent has one child, three routines, and one saved AI picture. Can they edit a routine and upload a new photo free? Yes. Create a fourth routine or a second new AI routine picture free? No; those additional capabilities require Pro.

Practice: Does redeeming stars for choosing a movie purchase or unlock the movie? No. The caregiver delivers the family reward.

Practice: Does every new free account start a 14-day paid-plan trial? No. Free signup and an eligible store purchase trial are different.
